Two Days of Connection, Showcase, and Growth

We’ve wrapped up another fantastic year at Subcon, and I wanted to share a quick round-up from the show floor. Our ninth consecutive year exhibiting at the NEC Birmingham, and once again, it proved to be a valuable two days filled with great conversations, new opportunities, and genuine enthusiasm for what we do at Grenville Engineering, especially in laser cutting and our comprehensive metal fabrication services.
Seeing so many new faces and catching up with some of our long-standing partners and clients was brilliant. Stuart Rawlinson, our Sales Director, and I were both on the stand throughout the show, and we were genuinely overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received.
We received many compliments on the design of our stand this year—in fact, a few fellow exhibitors even stopped by to take photos! One customer followed up after the event to say, “Nice to see you last week. The stand looked really good.” It’s always rewarding to know that our efforts to represent Grenville professionally and proudly don’t go unnoticed, particularly as we showcased our advanced laser cutting capabilities.
As always, Subcon delivered plenty of engaging conversations. We spoke to visitors about a wide range of exciting projects, many of which we would love the opportunity to support. Since the event, we’ve already had several new enquiries, filled out NDAs, and even scheduled site visits – a promising sign of what’s to come.
We also used the show to promote our ongoing investment plans. We’ve got some exciting developments ahead, including further expansion of our CNC machining capabilities, more robotic welding, and, later this year, a new flatbed laser… faster, smarter, and built to increase efficiency – more details to follow soon.
