Design and Engineering Support
Every successful fabrication project starts with a clear, manufacturable design. Our in-house engineering team uses 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks CAD software to develop new products, refine existing drawings and support reverse engineering requirements.
We also provide design-for-manufacture advice, helping customers identify opportunities to simplify production, reduce material waste, improve efficiency and lower overall costs. Designs can then be developed into prototypes before progressing into repeat or high-volume manufacture.
Precision Cutting, Punching and Forming
Once a design is approved, our extensive cutting capabilities allow us to process a broad range of materials accurately and efficiently.
Our flatbed laser-cutting department includes the Trumpf TruLaser 3030 Fibre 12kW, Morgan Rushworth XL Fibre Laser 12kW and Bystronic BySprint 3015 Fibre 10kW. Together, these advanced fibre laser systems provide fast, accurate and repeatable cutting across mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and copper.
For tubular components, box sections and structural profiles, our Bison RVD Smart Fibre TF8020.3000 tube laser provides high levels of accuracy while reducing the need for additional secondary operations.
Our Trumpf TruPunch 3000 adds further flexibility, offering punching, forming, embossing, countersinking, tapping, marking and engraving within one efficient process. This makes it ideal for producing complex sheet metal components accurately and efficiently.
Components can then move directly into our forming department, where seven CNC press brakes, including Bystronic Xpert Pro press brakes, provide precision folding for simple parts, complex forms and repeat production batches. Plate rolling is also available for projects requiring curved components.
Machining, Welding and Fabrication Under One Roof
For components requiring precision-machined features, our in-house machine shop provides CNC turning, milling, drilling and tapping.
Equipment including the XYZ CT 65 LTY CNC Lathe, Hurco VM20i Vertical Machining Centres and XYZ 1500 Vertical Turret Mill enables us to support everything from one-off prototypes and bespoke components to ongoing production volumes.
Our welding and fabrication department is equipped to handle simple individual parts through to large welded assemblies. With 22 welding stations and ASME IX coded welders, we offer MIG welding, TIG welding, spot welding, stud welding and riveting.
Our experienced team works with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and specialist alloys, allowing us to support a wide variety of industries and applications.
For repeat production, our two Migatronic CoWelder collaborative welding robots and Yaskawa Robot Weld Cell help improve productivity, repeatability and weld consistency.
Metal Finishing and Specialist Finishes
Fabrication does not end when the final weld is completed. Components can be deburred, edge-finished and prepared for coating using equipment such as our Loewer DiscMaster 4TD.
This stage helps ensure components have clean edges and suitable surfaces before progressing to coating, assembly or delivery.
Through our approved finishing partners, we can also coordinate a range of additional services, including powder coating, wet painting, galvanising, plating and specialist finishes. Managing these services as part of the overall project helps customers avoid arranging separate suppliers.
Quality Assurance at Every Stage

First article inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection help ensure components meet the agreed specifications before dispatch. Our Hexagon Portable Measuring Arm also provides accurate dimensional inspection for components and assemblies.
Full material and production traceability can be provided where required, giving customers confidence that quality is maintained from the first manufacturing stage through to final delivery.
Assembly and Complete Finished Products
Our assembly service allows individual components to be supplied as sub-assemblies or complete finished products.
We can carry out mechanical assembly, combine manufactured and customer-supplied parts, and prepare packaging to specific requirements. This reduces the amount of internal handling required by the customer and means products can arrive ready for their next stage of use.
