A snapshot of the parts, prototypes and production work moving through our shop floor.
We manufacture a wide range of parts and projects across many industries, from one-off prototypes to bespoke fabrications and repeat production batches.
We thought it would be interesting to share a snapshot of some of the steel fabrication work that has been moving through the shop floor, giving a bit of insight into the variety of components and projects we produce and the sectors we support.
One example from the leisure sector is the production of fabricated caravan bases, where we have already completed multiple sets this year. These types of projects require consistent quality and repeatability, ensuring each set is produced accurately and efficiently. Alongside this work, the team has also been producing prototype samples for accessibility systems, developing fabricated casings for cooling equipment used in the medical sector, and supporting the development of new products within both the landscaping and architectural industries.
Alongside this type of work, we also support more complex projects that require several fabrication processes to be carried out in-house. Components regularly move through stages such as laser cutting, CNC forming, machining, welding and assembly, allowing us to maintain quality and control throughout the production process.
Supporting Multiple Manufacturing Sectors
One of the strengths of our steel fabrication service is the variety of industries we support. So far this year, we have produced fabricated components for sectors including:
– Earth-moving products
– Medical equipment and healthcare technology
– Architectural, construction
– Petrochemical filtration systems
– Landscaping and garden products
– Manufacturing and engineering equipment
– Renewables and energy applications
Working across multiple sectors allows our team to apply knowledge and experience from one industry to another, often helping customers improve the manufacturability of their designs.
From Prototype to Production
Many projects start with prototype work. We regularly support customers during the development stage, helping refine designs so they can move smoothly into production.
Recently, we have produced prototype components for the medical sector, with early samples progressing into full production runs. We have also been working with a manufacturer in the landscaping products industry on the development of a new product design, helping ensure the component can be manufactured efficiently at scale.
Partnerships within the architectural sector are also developing new product ranges, where we are supporting fabrication requirements as those designs progress.
Solving Manufacturing Challenges
Problem-solving is an important part of what we do. Customers often come to us for support when designs need refinement or supply chain challenges arise.
Our team brings together a wide range of fabrication knowledge and experience, and daily production meetings and regular toolbox talks across the factory help identify the most efficient way to manufacture components while maintaining high-quality standards.
In one recent case, a partner experienced delays due to parts caught up in international shipping disruptions caused by the current conflict. We were able to jump on board and quickly manufacture replacement components in-house, helping them keep their production moving.
Complex Fabrication Projects
Alongside repeat production runs, we also undertake larger fabrication projects that require multiple manufacturing processes.
A good example is within the petrochemical sector, where we manufacture large fabricated components used in filtration systems. These projects involve stainless steel fabrication across several stages, including laser cutting, bending and rolling, punching, highly skilled welding, and final assembly.
Each stage is carefully controlled, with quality checks throughout the process before the finished fabrications are securely prepared for delivery.
Steel Fabrication You Can Rely On
Whether we are producing prototypes, bespoke fabrications, or repeat production components, our focus remains the same: delivering reliable steel fabrication that meets the needs of modern manufacturing.
Working across such a diverse mix of industries means our team is always tackling new challenges. It is something Grenville has become known for – applying practical engineering experience to deliver reliable, high-quality steel fabrication.
