VACANCY: CNC PROGRAMMING ENGINEER
Grenville Engineering are looking for a highly motivated team player for employment in our fast-paced metal fabrication company. The job carries various responsibilities including nesting and laser programming for CNC machines of which training can be given. There could also be some technical quoting on laser cutting components etc. The successful candidate will receive all necessary training to fulfill the obligations of the role
The individual must possess excellent keyboard and mouse speed. A good knowledge in (sheet) metal fabrication industry is important but not essential. A strong candidate has to possess very good communication skills and experience in nesting software such as TruTops, Radan or Sigmanest would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
Producing accurate maximum yield nesting programs quickly using our advanced laser cutting software.
Working closely with the machine operators to ensure best practice, solving any programming issues
Liaising with other departments such as production and customers to resolve queries and expedite progress.
To liaise with customers verbally, face to face and via email generating quotations when required.
Experience required
Experience in CAM related work programming, working with CNC machines – sheet metal manufacturing specific would be beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret customer engineering drawings (at least to some level, training can be provided).
Previous experience within a similar role, ideally within laser cutting, press braking and fabrication would be advantageous but not essential.
Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with both suppliers and customers.
Fully computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office
Working hours are Mon-Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm.
The salary is fully negotiable depending on your level of experience and background.
